View of Pinedale From the Sanitarium
Gift of Rod Green, Calgary, 2016
Verso inscription: “… love from Charlott Boswell” This lovely painted image features Mount Peechee, the third highest peak of the Fairholme Range from the Sanitarium Hotel and hospital. The hotel, hospital and spa was built in 1886 by Dr. George Robert Brett, physician and surgeon, businessman, politician, and lieutenant governor. Located at 101 Mountain Avenue, the building is now the Banff Administration Building, and is characteristic of Tudor Revival architecture.
